Edited to add second stone for comparison:

I have found a newly listed diamond on the site of one of the PS vendors which falls with in my parameters. The following stone seems to have good numbers other than the table being 58%.

Stone #1
1.41 ct.
H, VS1
Depth 60.3
Table 58
polish EX
Symmetry VG
Fl none
7.23 x 7.26 x 4.37 mm
GIA cut grade: very good (not sure how bad this is? vendor calls it ideal cut)
crown angle 34.5
pav angle 40.6
girdle- med faceted
price is around $10,400.
HCA all excellent, TVP .8 excellent

Stone #2
1.45ct.
H VS1
depth 62.5
table 57
pol EX
Sym VG
Fl none
7.17 x 7.20 x 4.49 mm
GIA cut grade VG
crown angle 35
pav angle 40.8
girdle- slightly thick-thick faceted
price @ $ 9600.
HCA (ex, ex, ex, vg, TVP 1.7 excellent)

I would appreciate some advice! Thanks in advance!

That combo can go either way most of them are ok and some can be down right kicken,
it depends on what is in the average.
Ask the vendor to eyeball it.
Do you have an IS image or other information?

No, it didn''t have an IS image, just the GIA certificate. I could probably request more info tomorrow.

I''ve wondered how you''ve been doing with your diamond search? Maybe tomorrow the vendor can provide some additional info to help you make a decision.

Hi, Sundial! I had so much going on, I had to take a break from looking. Plus, the size range I want, 1.4 or so, makes it very very hard to find stones. This one appeared on a site I don''t check too often, so maybe it was lucky timing! However, I am still a little confused about how perfect the numbers really need to be. This stone is about the same price as the 1.6 I looked at, and I so wish I could compare them! But the 1.6 did not have all the numbers this one does, so I can''t even compare them on paper. I''d pay the same for a smaller stone that was visually more beautiful, but it would be crazy to do so if they looked the same!

(I like your doggie picture, but I loved your beautiful pink flower and 3 stone ring!)
