hey everybody !!,

i usually lurk around and rarely post :)

would like to get some opinion from diamond guru out there for this diamond spec, is it any good ??? since this is our first buy, me and bf, with limited budget, we are going for smaller stone, maybe we can upgrade later on :)

carat - 0.36
color - g
clarity - vvs1
table - 61.2 %
depth - 57.++ % ( can''t remember )
sym / pol - excellent / excellent
flr - none

Probably will go with a simple 4 prong setting, 18k white gold.

thanks :)

To help you further we need more info.

The crown and pavillion angles are needed to help determine cut quality also the girdle thickness. Post that info and we can go from there

Also it would be good to have an accurate table measurement too.

The numbers you posted look good! As Loreli said, we could tell you a little more if you have the other numbers. But it sounds very nice!

maybe your depth and table measurements are reversed?

with a smaller stone i would definitely consider lower color and clarity (i/j si2) with a great cut you will never notice the compromise and you can save $$$$.

just make sure you are getting a well cut diamond. it will mean the difference between just an ''okay'' stone and a showstopper.

best of luck!

ditto. the table would be very large on that stone at 61.2% and the depth very shallow at 57???%..

I also agree with belle to consider lower color and clarity in the size you''re looking at. As long as it''s a well cut stone, you''ll not see the compromise

Lol! I only looked at the numbers, not the labels! I''m going to assume the table and depth are reversed! If they''re not, then you do need to look further.

However, in a diamond that size, I think you have the luxury of going to a high color and calrity because the price differential won''t be as great as is is in a larger stone. However, I would probably go a little larger and go down to maybe H and VS1 or 2.
