Hi All,

I need your opinion on this diamond here.

Round Brilliant
Measurement: 5.79 - 5.82 x 3.53mm
Carat: 0.72 carat
Color: H
Clarity: VS1
Cut Grade: Excellent

Clarity Characteristics: Crystal, Cloud
Finish
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent

Fluorescence: Faint

Towards my untrained eyes, this one looks quite nice, although I can see some miss aligned part.

How would you rate the brilliance, scintillation, fire and the overall of the diamond?

Thank you so much for your opinion.

Looks good to me.

What is the girdle variation?

Table, Depth, crown and pavilion angles, star and lower half number?

Looks very promising from the info given, everything looks great but it would be nice to have the following info too please which you will find on the report for the sake of completeness.

depth%
table%
crown and pavilion angles
girdle thickness
star and lower girdle facet percentages.

If you could post the above we can go from there, I think I know what vendor it is from too, this vendor is top notch.

To Stone-cold11 and Lorelei Thanks for responding on my question.

Please see the certs information to get the information of the cut angles etc.

Could you help me to derive the characteristics of this diamond based on the information?

Thanks a million!

Thanks

Everything looks good to me.

AdviceNeeded,

May I have your full attention and your assistance?

The pictures that you have received for these diamonds are taken by ourselves and are pictures of an Infinity-stone. The diamond however is not.

So, we have a case of mis-representation here, in the sense that a seller is using our pics to sell a different diamond.

May we have more information on this seller, so that we can take necessary steps? If you wish to keep this private, you can also e-mail us through our website, or inform us through the PS-administrators.

Thank you,

It took us about 15 minutes to retrieve from which Infinity-stone the images were taken. Here is the link. Most pics were rotated 180°.

Live long,

I thought that was strange with the GIA report provided as well as the proportions but wasn''t sure, good catch Paul and I hope this gets sorted out ASAP.

Whenever you see something strange like this, do not hesitate to ask me, Lorelei.

I definitely will Paul!

Wow ...

This really do caught me unguard.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your information, this surely is a valuable red flag for me, I will be contacting you personally via email to work with you closer on this.

Now, I''m getting very nervous on buying diamond online or without seeing the physical things it self. This may surely not the first case of this is happening.

My guess on this particular case is this vendor may not have the picture of the actual rock and he use the other picture of the other rock which may look similar on his, which still misrepresenting his item without telling me as a potential buyer.

Lorelei, what would your suggestion on this? I''m sure most likely I may need to pass from this vendor.

The hunting begin again ...

To Stone-cold11, Lorelei, and Paul, Thank you so much for your support, and thanks for alerting me with this fact. I''m very curious on how Paul found out about this piece of diamond.

Thanks

I''d post where you found this diamond and the misrepresented pictures. That way, you could warn other Pricescope members of this particular vendor... unless there is an explanation for this...

I would hold off for the moment and see what transpires concerning this diamond AN, once you have more info you will know what you should do to proceed. Concerning this diamond I immediately recognized from the photos that it was in fact an Infinity, thats why I mentioned I knew which vendor probably had the stone in question, however once the report came along it threw up a flag to me and I should have given Paul the heads up then.

Update.

We have sent a nice e-mail to the vendor in question yesterday, asking them to stop this deceptive practice. Still waiting for an answer, but we will give them somewhat more time.

Will keep you posted.
