Need opinion on ACA FSI stone

Okay, I need help finding earrings. My original budget was $1,500 for a pair of .80 TCW stud earrings, but I found for about $400 more I have a much larger selection of stones, so my husband gave me the green light, so I''m going to spend up to $1900 or so.

I found a lot of I VS stones that easily fit into my budget, BUT. . . then I found a pair of F SI stones that may work. They have HCA scores of around 1.5. Would this be okay for earrings?

Here is a copy of the certificate of one of the stones. Would the cloud impact the sparkle of this stone at all being that it''s a GREAT cut stone? Would it be better to hunt down a stone with a slightly better HCA?

What a great find, MC. I think they would be great for earrings. Remember, anything under HCA of 2 is great, so 1.5 is definitely under that. As for the cloud, double check with WF (although I really don't see anything). Only they will know 100% for sure.

The HCA is just a weeding out tool. The idealscope is the real test of its performance. In this case, the IScope is great and of course, the ACA passes the test with flying colours.

Yes, there is a misconception that a lower HCA score is better. A 1.5 might be "better" than a .5, actually.

Nope, lol! I''d love to have gotten platinum, martini settings, but decided just to get the WG basket settings to keep the costs down.

Here''s the photo of the earrings that White Flash emailed me this afternoon.
