Radiants need to be seen to be judged, unfortunately the numbers don't tell you a lot, or apparently crown heights etc. Having said that, here is a chart with some suggested proportions, but use them as a guide only. The best way to buy a radiant is to work with a vendor who has in house diamonds who can advise you, and supply ASET images and detailed pics of the stones. Or some of the vendors may be able to source you a diamond if you tell them what you are looking for. Also it might be worth bearing in mind that radiants may show colour more than some other shapes, this is the reason why so many fancy coloured diamonds are cut into this shape, so if you can, check out some radiants in person of similar size and lab grade, to make sure where your colour preferences lie. Some make an H colour grade their cut off point, especially with the larger stone, it would be worth seeing some in person if possible.Date: 4/21/2008 2:08:47 PM

What would be an ideal proportion...depth to table....for about a 2-2.25 carat radiant cut diamond? What dimesions should I be looking for to have an ideal or close to ideal cut? Any opinion or suggestions about this cut of diamond?
