Warning: long
I''m currently in the process of redesigning my e-ring- I found a local B&M and decided to have a Michael B. lace inspired setting made. I went to see the wax yesterday and decided it didn''t have enough bling for me. So I went back today and after looking around, trying on different rings (yes, the horror of more diamonds), I decided to have the setting made into a half eternity pave. Now I''m home, and thinking I should have asked about making it into a shared prong half eternity because my wedding band is channel set. To illustrate:

My wedding band is nearly identical to Logan Sapphire''s:

Currently, my e-ring will be designed to feature a paved shank like Scintillating''s:

I liked how the two styles looked together- I don''t like matching sets but the channel set band and pave e-ring setting played off each other nicely.

I searched through the archives and found bluej422''s shared prong e-ring and love it:

Do you think I should stick to the pave or go back (for the third time

) and go for the shared prong?

I would not like a shared prong e-ring with a channel set w-band. I love Scintillating''s ring!

i loooooove scintillating''s ring. love it. i agree with ds, i don''t like the look of shared prong and channel set. unless you are going for some kind of heirloom look...like, got the band from his great grandmother and the ering from your great grandmother and now they have come together because of generations of sentiment. otherwise...it just looks *too* mismatched.
long story short....i would stick with the pave.
