Need help

I've been lurking on here for a while now and I think I've only confused myself even more.

I know that it's probably a better idea to buy from other vendors that provide more data about their stones/photos but I've looked at some other vendors and they don't have the same setting (close but not the same).

I'd like to spend around $14k and get the best bang for my buck. A stone around 1.75 ct would be ideal but I don't want to sacrifice quality and I get worried I will every time I look at stones from Blue Nile.

So many great options.

There is nothing wrong with BN. But in this case, it is just that at a similar price, other vendors offer much more flexible upgrade and buy back options, and arguably better settings and better customer service.

Would the size difference be that noticeable?

I like this 1.73 one better than the 1.764 but the 1.684 is a great price and the size difference would be negligible (the 1.764 seems to have a cloud/crystal combo that's reflecting and even though it's white, it's very noticeable in the video): http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3449640.htm
