Hello All,
The time has come for me to purchase a wedding set to replace the solitare my fiance is currently wearing. I would like to stay under 4K for the set. I am looking for refferals to reputable online dealers where I may be able to make this purchase. I took her to Robbins Bros. this past weekend as this is where I purchased the diamond. After looking around, there really wasn''t anything that made me feel I would be getting my money''s worth. Everything seemed pretty overpriced. When I purchased the original diamond it took a lot of work to get the cost down to a reasonable amount, and I really would rather not have to deal with this again. As a matter of fact, if it wasn''t for this site I would have overpaid around 3K for the diamond, so thanks again!

what type of set does she want? does she want diamonds in the setting and/or the wedding band? what type of metal does she want?

She likes either white gold or platinum, and yes she (me.lol) would like diamonds on both the main ring(terminology?) and the band. On the type, she seems to favor a thinner set. To be honest, she is not really concerned with the style or anything, and would have been happy with an even smaller stone, but I want to get her the best I can afford. Hopefully this info helps a little.

well, I would suggest checking out Pearlmans for a large website full of designer settings. It will at least give you some ideas of what direction you might want to go. I would check out Ritani and Beverley K which Pearlmans carries both and you can see pics and prices right on their site. Both designers work in Whitegold and I believe Ritani now works in palladium which can help keep costs down too.
