I have attached the aset for a princess 1.61, E, SI1 diamond from WF. Here is the link to the actual stone: http://www.whiteflash.com/princess/Princess-cut-diamond-2119038.htm# I can also send the IS if you think it will help. I''ve been told this stone has 5-6 chevrons-does that mean it will have a crushed ice appearance? Bob at WF says NO it doesn''t??? There are several inclusions including clouds, feathers, natural - no cavities par for the course for SI1. I''ve been assured that it is eyeclean. It has no cutlet-is that ok? Please advise. Thanks so much!

Here is the IS as well for the same stone - any advice - good or bad? Thanks! It took me forever to figure out how to post these photos! I"m a novice diamond researcher and computer user-yikes!!

Looks nice! There''s a small area of leakage on the right side of the table as you can see, but it shouldn''t be really perceptible. The photo looks great. Do you have the ASET?

As for the chevrons...I think there might be a bit of splitting hairs going on with the terminology. Yes, it will have the appearance of pinfire, or many small flashes of light. Crushed ice is often used as a pejorative term, so maybe that''s what Bob is getting at. I think by saying it''s not crushed ice, he''s saying it''s not a dull/glassy looking stone. However, know that it will have a different personality from a 2-3 chevron stone. I would trust Bob; he helped me select both of my WF ACA diamonds, and he''s great!

Looks gorgeous to me.

ditto jstar. Looks good but some leakage that is most likely not noticeable.

Is there an ASET image for this diamond please?

Are you sure? WF will normally do an ASET image on fancy shapes they call in....Might be worth asking them.

I am trying and thought I''d sent it but obviously it didn''t work - I do have the ASSET image, but for some reason (stupidity) I can''t figure out how to get it posted here. Stay with me as I continue to try....

Oh ok! Rename the file, if that doesn't work email it to admin and they will post it for you. NOT stupidity, many have trouble posting images!

Oh my gosh - I think I''ve done it this time...thanks for your continued opinions!

Well done!

From what I can see the image looks good.

sorry about the funny odd shape...but can you tell anything from the image?

Looks good, no serious leakage, nice mix of red and green.

OK so most people are commenting using the word "good!" That''s not great, awesome, beautiful, etc...so I''m not sure about this stone? I have heard more superlative comments from people on other stones so... What do you think about the numerous inclusions-clouds, feather, indented natural, etc...? All of those make me a little nervous too. If there is a cloud under the table, should that concern me? I thought I was going to hold out for an ACA WF AGS graded stone because arent'' all of those really top of the line? I am not sold on GIA as they don''t have a grade for the Princess cut. This particular stone was on the vendor''s website but not in house, so they brought it in for me to look at. I''ve read on this forum that "in house" is the way to go so what about the bringing in of stones? Also, I''ve been told they will probably send it back if I don''t buy it-you''d think if it was a top notch diamond they would keep it in their inventory? Sorry if I sound so skeptical but its hard to spend this kind of money when I guess I still have doubts. Any thoughts or suggestions?

err... ok, my comments are only good, ok and bad. :P

The image is distorted that I can't see as clearly as I would like to, particularly the bottom part - my only area of concern is the leakage shown in the IS image and I can't see the ASET as clearly in that area.
