OK ladies and gents..I posted over the weekend what to do with wifes current diamond. Long story short, the enclosed picture is the new setting I have bought for her (removing this center stone and putting her .75 H SI2 Oval that was our original engagment stone).

My pickle is this..In her current setting, her ring is a three stone ring. I hate to not put the side stones to good use in this new setting. They are .20 H SI1 round stones, and very pretty..

Based on the picture below, any ideas how I might incorporate these two stones into either the band or the E ring?

Thanks..I have really enjoyed lurking on this board. You guys have given such personality to diamonds..fun..

maybe a 3 stone pendant with the round center and her two old sides?

I wouldn''t put anything in that setting other than a center stone. It already has many baguettes and it would not look right to add the side stones to it. Besides the pendant idea, you could make diamond stud earrings out of them.

Those are lovely rings and I would hate to see you clutter them up by trying to force those two side diamonds into the design. How about putting a colored stone in the center of her old setting and wearing it as a right hand ring?

Ah, now that makes sense!! I had not even thought about that. One reason I did this is because that ring was starting to turn yelllow (white gold) and I wanted to change over to platinum. I can always have the old setting re-dipped!! EXCELLENT IDEA!. I know I came to you folks for a reason! Now, question is what kind of stone..I just had a custom ruby and diamond ring made for her last year, so I need to go away from ruby..

PS..does anyone recognize the design of these rings..I think I find something similar on NOVELL website (think it is something shane company carries)..Just curious..Person I bought them for says he worked at a high end store..

Yes it will look brand new if you have it replated and I would go with a sapphire since she already has a ruby. Can''t have too many right hand rings!
