I've never been much of a necklace person but I'm finally getting a pendant made and it will be my daily wear necklace. 20190104_213117.jpg

I want it to slide freely on the chain, but don't want any flipping. Should I just have holes in the pendant with the chain running through (I like the look) or would a bale work better?
Hoping someone with necklace savvy can tell me what works the best.

I have a slider pendant - like no 2 which I love but you have to have a fine chain to go with it. Only one of my many chains fits through the slits. It’s more a choker style “floating” diamond in my opinion. The style doesn’t work with longer chains,
The other option is more chunky and noticeable. Depending on the bale size you’ll be able to fit it on more chains (if you have a few) and wear it either short or longer length.

Oh, I'm so not a dainty chain gal! I will break it! I was hoping for a rolo in a not too dainty width and 16 to 18 in. Maybe a bale is better... I like the idea of being able to switch out chains too.

I love the look, but I don't think it's going to work for me... thank you for very helpful info!

How about a variable length chain that can be adjusted as you see fit?

The 1st option is a practical one!
