So, in my last post I was talking about a ring I found at a local jewelry store. After widening my internet search to include Color I, I was able to find a LOT more promising rings. Now I need PSers help again! My idea is to get the best, brightest, well cut ring I can afford. My new ranking is caret, cut, clarity, color. I was using this as a guide: http://diamonds.pricescope.com/fnc1.asp but then I found a few AGS "ideal cut" diamonds that were outside of this range. Whats up with that discrepancy?

Also, could the idealscope experts out there tell me which of these diamonds is the best?

http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/4778/ (this one looks more yellow than the others... can you really compare images of diamonds to one another?)

not so great with princesses but --- either #2 or 3 - I prefer #2.
the shot on #3 looks more yellow b/c there is probably something yellow in the room - the entire photo has a yellow cast, not just the diamond.

Call GOG and ask them to give you their opinon and the pros/cons of each.

Hi DQ,

Ask Jon to do some comparison pics, he might even be able to do a video which might help you see which you like best.

All 3 of those look like nice stones with slightly different specs. Call and see what Jon has to say about them before some else snags one!!

Oh man. I''m not sure if a I color in princess is going to be a good idea. I just ran across this post: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/i-color-diamonds-vs-g-colors.25946/

Looks like princess cuts, the light has to bounce around inside more to get returned so it picks up more of the color. I wonder... if the difference in color been an I and a G/H is going to be significant (will be set in platinum.)

Ok, colour sensitivity and preference varies, Jstarfireb who posts here has an I colour Princess and she loves it, and has very discerning taste! I would ask Jon's opinion on these diamonds, and see about the comparison pics and perhaps a video, he will be able to guide you to the right diamond. Also grading is subjective, you may find one I colour may be closer to an H, or vice versa, so Jon will again be able to advise.
