My girlfriend and I have been looking at rings and she fell in love with one at H. Stern when we were visting New York. It is just sooooo expensive for what it is. I have seen some somewhat similar settings but nothing really close and I think it would be hard to have custom made. I asked to buy just the setting and they said absolutely not. I even suggested paying $6k for just the setting and the answer was still no. Anyone have any suggestions? Could this perhaps be cheaper if purchased in Brazil (where H. Stern is from)? Would they have the same designs there? Is it me is this pricing REALLY high - a 2.05 F color radiant VS2 with 2 side trilliants (.4 TCS) for $31k. I really appreciate any help and advise.

Hi Mickel and welcome-

A radiant with trillions is not a hard setting to replicate- why do you feel like you can''t get a ring like this that is comparable to the one at H Stern? Its not like it would involve intricate pave work or anything like that. Have you tried contacting vendors with your ideas for the design for the ring?

I have seen a number of rings with Trillians however this one tapers incely, has many little details like small triangular slits under the trilliants, etc. which I don''t think I can describe, H.Stern does not allow pictures and I know my girlfriend has more of an eye for these details than I
