Need help with first diamond

Hi,

I am looking for a diamond thats:

Shape: round cut
Carat: 1.2ct or higher
Color: G or higher
Clarity: SI1 or higher (eye clean)
Budget: ~11k (13K CAD)

I came across these two,

1) Blue Nile

Which one do you think is better? They are little over my budget after setting and tax, any other suggestions are welcomed?

Ideally I'd try to find a hybrid of those two. I'd look for an eye clean SI1 (like the Whitefish stone) but would rather have G color (like the Blue Nile stone). If it were between these two, I'd choose the WF stone because of their superior upgrade and buyback policies.

If you want to stick to branded h&a diamonds, I would ask John at Good Old Gold whether this one is eye clean or not and whether that large cloud is affecting the stone's light properties. He may even be able to make you a video to show it to you.

Normally I would go straight for the ACA. I'm a little worried about the inclusions even though it says it's eye-clean. I would
call and talk to them about the inclusions and make sure that they can't be seen...one of them can easily be hidden by a prong
if not (if you are ok with that).

If it's truly eye-clean then the ACA would be my choice.

I would probably go for even a Whiteflash Expert Selection over a BlueNile but that's just me.
