Need help with finding an unusal/custom engagement setting.

I''m planning to give my wife an upgrade to her current wedding set in May, but am having trouble deciding on a setting for the diamond I already have. The diamond is a 1.26ct, 6.98 x 6.95 x 4.25.

I really like what I''ve seen from Mark Morrell, but it appears that he only works with platinum and yellow gold, whereas I need white gold. I really like his flame setting (the crown is very neat), but I''m not interested in the platinum.

Can anyone suggest anywhere that I can find a similar type of plain setting (no accent diamonds), but in white gold?

You could try BGD and WF, they both have done amazing work in all sorts of metals.

Yes, MM ONLY works in platinum. I checked because I love the torchierre setting, but I didn''t want to shell out the bucks for platinum...

Yeah, I checked BGD and WF already and they don''t have anything quite similar to that. They seem to specialize in settings with additional stones, which I don''t want. MM''s stuff is GREAT, but my wife has just never been a fan of platinum and there''s a huge difference in price, too.

Seems I''m out of luck on this unless I want to shell put platinum money and hope she likes it.

BGD and WF both make custom jewelry so just b/c you don''t see it on their site doesn''t mean they can''t make something similar but in WG. Both have made plenty of settings that don''t have any diamonds at all. So, don''t let what you are seeing, or not seeing steer you away from contacting them. MM is wonderful but if your wife doesn''t like platinum I probably would suggest pursuing a different designer.
