Hello, I am new to the forum. I'm looking to buy my wife a pair of diamond earing studs for our 9th anniversary.

We looked at several different options last week so I can could get an idea of what she liked. She really likes 1 1/2 total carat weight princess cut diamonds in a white gold setting. Where should I look to find these for the best price and best quality without getting ripped off.

Thanks for any help.

Check out Whiteflash--they specialize in super ideal cut princess diamonds and can find a match for you. I personally have bought many diamonds from them in the past, including stud earrings.

What is your budget? For WF ACAs you are looking at a minimum of about $4500 for "I" color. They would be really beautiful though!

I'm hoping to find a pair for about $4000 if possible, but I really didn't know what to expect as far as price. Also, what kind of backing is recommended. Is there a safe backing that isn't ribbed for a screw on back?

I agree that Whiteflash is a great place for this project.

I don't really have a firm budget of 4k, but was hoping to find a set for under that price range. I didn't know with these online places that you actually buy individual diamonds then they set them for you?

Yes, the stones have GIA or AGS grading reports with them so you know what you are getting.

You might want to talk to ID Jewelry on line. Tell them you are a PS member and you are looking for PS quality stones. He can
probably find you a matching pair within your price range. They may not be as nice as the ACAs though but... may be nice enough.

When purchasing studs, what is the minimum clarity and color I should be looking for? I know it's not as important as an engagement ring, but I definitely want to get some that have a nice color and look.
