Here is my situation. I really want a 1.5 carat diamond for my girlfriend, but I have around $8500-$9000 to spend. Of course I want the best cut, but for my price range it seems H or and I diamonds are my only option. I have been looking on Whiteflash and have found some I colored diamonds in the expert selection section of the website. Does anyone have any suggestions because I am lost and I want the best possible diamond I can buy for the price range. Also what should I look for when it comes to SI1 diamonds. I just want the diamonds to be eye clean. Thanks, Scott

hey scott!
with your budget, you will be able to find a great 1.5ct diamond for your girlfriend. don''t feel like you are stuck in a corner with having to choose lower color/clarity (h/si2) diamonds. in my opinion theses are the absolute best buys for the money. to me an ideal cut ''h'' will face up as white as a ''d'' (and yes, i consider myself color sensitive). as for the si''s, you can look at the magnified diamond photo to get an idea of inclusions. also, you can call the vendor and ask them to explain the type and location of inclusions. i know you will be able to find a beauty, best of luck to you!

Why not start with a smaller stone?
She will just love you in a few years when you want to upgrade it for her!!!!
You have to leave room for options right??
