Do these images look good to you? I am a little worried about the microscopic image. It is an SI1 stone.

Looks good.

It looks great and if Jon has verified that the diamond is eyeclean to your standards then you are good to go!

I actually had the stone in my possession for a short time before sending it off to be set. I have young eyes (25) and am near sighted, but was happy with the clarity until the last day when I noticed what I think are those clouds on magnified image (on the outside of the stone). You could not see them when looking at the diamond face up, but I could see them if I looked through the table when I held the diamond at an angle. There are not really many clouds plotted on the AGS cert in the location but the comment "additional clouds not shown" is on the cert. Is it possible that those are the clouds that I am seeing? I am thinking it might not be a big deal when it is set and that maybe I was just looking too close/hard. I just started panicking thinking about this expensive purchase on it''s way to be set and wondering if it is really a "good" SI1, especially after seeing other SI1 magnified images that don''t look so included.

Just ask GOG for what the clouds are and where they are. If not, you will still have to send it to an independent appraiser and then ask him those questions.

GOG will be happy to answer you as they have a good return policy and a return item will incur extra cost to them so they will prefer you to be satisfied with your purchase.

I doubt you will see '' additional clouds not shown'' as they are too insignificant to plot and are only mentioned for the sake of completeness. Give Jon a call and talk to him about what you are seeing and he should be able to help.

I called and talked to the people at GOG and they told me what I see on the side of the diamond are reflections of the inclusion that is under the table. I guess these are referred to as "reflectors." I am seriously considering returning the diamond now. They told me that a lot of times you cannot see these once the diamond is set. Please give me some input because I am nearing the end of my return time. Thanks.

Your opinion is what matters most so if it bothers you then return it. There are plenty of diamonds and inventories are always changing.

I can see these inclusions from the other side of the room.

Why?

Because they were photographed thru a microscope and blown up 100 times bigger on my computer screen.

Everyone has told you you will not see them with your naked eye. It looks like a very nice sctone to me, and an honest SI1
If you want a 100x clean diamond then fork out heaps more for flawless.

If you aren''t happy as you have seen the diamond and have noticed something inclusion wise, then maybe consider sending it back, possibly VS2 or above might be a better choice for you?
