Hello everyone!
I am a long time lurker. After 9 months I finally sourced a stone from JannPaul. It is a Brellia 2.056 ct Cushion, G, VS2. I have included some images for you. I think I did okay on the stone. Now I need some help with the perfect setting.
After a bunch of research I have decided to go with the Victor Canera Emilya Halo in Platinum. Victor's craftsmanship seems precise and gives a delicate appearance.
My future fiance has a ring size of 5.75 and I think this will look great on her!
I am looking for some assistance with a few questions that I have from others who have used Victor. They are as follows:
1.) Is it important to tell Victor the angle of the melee around the main stone? I have seen people who note 25 degrees. Is this his default?
2.) Should the melee stones be a G color as well?
3.) What is the best way to ensure that the wedding band can sit flush? From my research on here I have seen that for sure there should not be pave around the doughnut but it appears without a spacer if you are to proceed then you will have to give up the doughnut similar to https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/im-now-a-member-of-the-victor-canera-club.176673/
4.) Band thickness of 1.9 mm due to finger size?
5.) Anything else I should be aware of? Specify size of melee, etc?
I am getting extremely excited as she has had her heart set on a Brellia stone and she thinks that no one had any inventory in the carat range we were looking in so I anticipate she will be quite surprised!
