hi i am deciding between two rocks

1) F, VS1, GIA excellent cutting, sym/polish very good / very good, AGS 3.6 according to holloway method, price: -8% rapaport
3.14 carat

2) F, VS2, GIA very good cutting, sym/polish both excellent, AGS 0.6 according to holloway method, price: +1% rapaport
3.02 carat.

i really care about brilliance, fire, sparkle but so confused, why GIA cutting and AGS contradict each other.
thanks

obviously i prefer the second stone so far.
Can you get more information please

thanks Gary the 1st rock is:
The crown angle is 35.0 and the pavilion angle is 41.2.
The table is 57% and the depth is 62.1%.

Details of the GIA report for this diamond can be found by entering the diamond carat weight (3.14) and the certificate number (15802893) on the "GIA report check" page below.

the second rock is:
55%/ 60.9%/ 34/ 40.6

i have tried to attach the jpg of GIA

your input is much appreciated.

This stone will have a very dark star because the lower gridles are short (75%) combined with a slightly shallow crown / pav combo.
If either of you have a large dark hair style or wear big hats, and have excellent close up vision you will be disapointed.

If not then it has a great spread and from 2 foot away will look fantastic.

thank you

Personally I''d keep looking, and shoot for something in the middle of these two.

hi ellen

what do you mean by something between these two?
should i not compromise on gia excellence or ags ?
