So I'm looking to replace my current wedding band with a new non-matchy band that has a bit more sparkle and no Miligrain. My e-ring and band are from ERD and while I like the band I'd prefer something that compliments my e-ring without matching completely. I'm considering VC u cut shallow wedding band, SK signature eternity band and BGD bead set band.

Below are pictures (sorry for the terrible iPhone pics) of my current set. I'd love to hear peoples opinions on which type/style band would look best without being a complete match. I'm leaning towards the VC band simply because Victors work is so beautiful I feel like I can't go wrong but obviously want to make sure the two rings together will work.

Forgot to mention my ring is 2.3mm tapering to 2mm. One other ring could be one from the facets collection like a half 3/4 shared prong.

Thanks for your thoughts. Don't get me wrong I think the two bands look nice together but coupled together it feels too vintage to me and I prefer a bit more sparkle. Adding a ring such as your suggestion could work but i don't think it would add that extra sparkle I'm seeking.

Definitely open to adding a second ring vs replacing my current band though.

Yes, it is. It is just easier to wear one with the design all the way around since one that is halfway will be turned too far some of the time. Does your e-ring have milgrain? Because if it does, I don't think there's any way to get around it looking a little vintage...unless you remove the milgrain.

There are many more designs here:

Honestly, I think what you already have is perfect. I don't see those others looking as good with your e-ring. The only thing I might personally consider is adding a another band between the two rings you currently have. Like one with alternating shapes such as round and rectangular or round-marquise, etc.

I'm sorry. I agree with DS. I can't come up with a band that would look better. I do really like how your set looks together. But I am a matchy-matchy person. There has to be others who have a good eye for this.

Ok I can think of one type of band I would consider. Square French cut full eternity with mill grain.

I would choose a band like this one. It's Singlestone. Almost square French cuts and OECs.

First, I love your set. As I am a fan of non matchy bands, I'm always on the hunt for a good contrasting one. BUT, you mention that you want a blingier one and also one that doesn't feel too vintage. Most of the contrasting bands that I can think of won't necessarily be blingier and I can't think of a blingier band that would work well...but I can't wait to see what you come up with! It will be fun to find the perfect non matchy band! I hope you post pictures along the way.

Diamondseeker2006 - is it possible if I send the ring to ERD that they could remove the Miligrain? I didn't know that was something that could be easily done. It's also a full eternity band and even though it's my size it never fit just right. I wish I had just returned it right away and started over. I've probably only worn it 5 times. Kills me....

LLJsmom - I do like the french cut band but I'm wondering if that cut would add the sparkle I'm seeking. Where did you get your band?

Rounds are the sparkliest shape and the bigger the melee, the easier it is to see the sparkle.

What is the sparkle like on a french set band? I know that's a bit more vintage looking but Ido think it's pretty. Right now I just think my rings look too chunky together and there's too much going on with the Miligrain on both.

French cuts flash, to my eye. Large flashes of color. Very unlike full cut MRBs. I did not buy it. Tried it on at SingleStone. To me, huge sparkle factor. It may be more sparkly than your e-ring. So maybe not a good idea. When I wore it next to my MRB, it grabbed all the attention. Just IMHO.
