Hi Experts,

Need your input on one diamond
0.85 G/VS1 6.15x6.18x3.69mm
EX/VG/VG
Table 59%
Crown 33.7%
Pavilion 40.8
Depth 59.9
Lower Girdle 80%
Girdle: Thin to Slight Thick
HCA score is 1.3.

But is this a good diamond? I have a few concerns,
1 Symmetry is VG not EX
2 Table is 59% and Crown is only 33.7%
3 Girdle: Thin to Slight Thick

Deal no Deal?

I take it this diamond has a GIA report? It looks like a nice make of diamond, not a very strictly crafted superideal, but a potentially good performer. You could find one which has a tighter cut certainly, but it depends on what you want, and your budget, and the price of this diamond. I would want to see an Idealscope image if possible for this stone, ask the vendor if he has one, or can get one. Also in that size, you could drop your clarity if you wished to broaden your options, as you could probably find an eyeclean SI1 or even SI2 in this size if that appeals to you, but this is a personal preference. If the price is right, and the vendor has a good return policy, and this is the type of diamond you want, it may be worth considering. If you want a top notch cut, then you would need to keep looking.

Also;
1) Symmetry - some experts say good and above looks the same to the naked, untrained eye. However those who want a diamond which has a top notch cut, expect polish and symmetry to be at least excellent and above, the superideal diamonds generally have this as part of the great attention to the cutting and finishing process. But if you want the above mentioned fine make of diamond, then VG may be fine.

2) Table is a tad larger than those of the diamonds we routinely see, again a bit bigger than those of the superideals, but also it again depends on what you want. The crown angle seems fine and complements the pavillion angle.

3) The girdle thickness is fine also.

Thank you, I can only get GIA from this store.

Since the price is rather high, I will keep looking.
