^ get in touch with ID Jewelry or ERD as they've been able to call in Blue Nile's stones for evaluation.

Not a matter of which one is better but those stones fall within the 60/60 cut parameters. You can do searches here for 60/60 stones to see if they would be something that you like.

Didn't find anything in a one carat size stone in your price range - this one falls 9 points short but looks to be a lovely stone if it's eyeclean. A bit over budget too but still a very pretty diamond!

i emailed them and hopfully they will reply to me in a timely manner

If for some reason you don't get a response to your email, give them a call on Monday.

Keep us posted on your progress and good luck!

They replied back to me and saying they do not carry Ideal Scope images for diamonds, but looking at the GIA certificates for these diamonds, they suggest the 1.02ct diamond, stock number LD02626110. They will check if both diamonds are eye clean and get back to me. do you agree what their preference?

When I use the HCA for LD02626110. i got 2 different results. if i enter as angle for Crown and Pavilion, i got Light Return Very Good , Fire Very Good, Scintillation Very Goo,d Spread Very Good, total score is 2.5 - Very Good . if i enter as % for Crown and Pavilion, i got Light Return Excellent ,Fire Excellent, Scintillation Very Good, Spread Very Good. total score is 1.6 Excellent. do you guy know why? which result should i trust? Thank you

I'm sorry - I thought you were emailing Whiteflash about the other stone.

You use angles in the HCA - not percentages.

As far as which stone is better, why do they recommend one over the other? I would assume that the diamond with scattered inclusions has a better chance of being eyeclean as they are probably smaller inclusions. The other stone has one major grade setting inclusion and it may be visble to the naked eye. As far as cut goes, I don't know that you'd see a tremendous amount of difference between the two stones. The tables on both are larger than I personally care for but there are lots of beautiful 60/60 stones - if that is your preference.

i am sorry. what 60/60 diamond means? how about these 2 diamond below? they both have better HAC score. which one do you prefer? However, i dont like their ring style. the setting i like is http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-setting-platinum_19009..
do you know if bluenile will provide ring setting service if i send them a loose diamond?

No, I don't know Blue Nile's setting policy - you would need to call or email them. I think they don't set outside stones but I could be wrong.

I like both of the second stones you've posted - the second one makes me a bit wary because of the comment 'additional clouds not shown'. You'd have to see that stone to decide if those additional clouds pose a problem.

Have you contacted any of the well known PS vendors here? If you tell them what you are looking for, they can recommend some stones to you as well.

Here is another Whiteflash stone - some would covet this .99 carat size as it comes in right under the one carat mark (although you could never visually see the difference) and you're not paying for the one carat markup. http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2788969.htm..
