I can spend 8k to 10k. I need you guys to help with some suggestions. It seems that buying on the net may be the best way to go. I want at least 1.5 c but not more than 1.75c. I do not mind SI1 clarity and I colored diamonds. I am more concerned with cut. I have been at this for a couple of weeks now and have been doing some research. I had no idea how much you have to take into consideration. Also, I want very good or excellent polish and symmetry. I also know I need to take into account the crown and pavillion angles so if it is already calculated, that would be great also.

Please post the links to the diamonds you would recommend for me!!! THANKS!!!

I actually see one easy option...but hate to be an enabler, with your having such clear paramaters. It costs $8191 (as the discountable cost), and you can access it on the bar right above...and also here.

Can you see it, too? The tools here are really very good.

Best,

So.... the "search by cut quality" only yielded three diamonds 1.5-1.9 cts, H-J and Si1-Si2... those around the budget, may be perfect cut but the pictures presented do not look all that "eye clean". That remains to be seen diamond in hand.

However, among AGS0 without the H&A pedigree (and this means without the extra information, I can't tell how they look in person) there are some options. Say, this 1.75cts I/Si1 for about 10k. The stone is listed by several sellers as usual, and among the WF presents a copy of the AGS lab report (link).

The clarity plots looks promissing : the main inclusions (a feather) is just hidden under a crown facet and those three pinpoints under the table should be invisible - not bad among SI as far as I can tell.

The HCA scores vary quite a bit if angles or percentages are used. This is not unusual for anything but the super tight H&A cuts. The difference (between 1.6 and 3.2) just tells me that this stone is worth seeing. If either DCD or WF or another seller who lists it can provide an IdealScope picture (or you decide to bring in the stone and see the reality for yourself during the return period) this one sounds tempting because of size and cost. All this, relative to Pricescope listings, of course.

With proportions ok it sounds like that one is worth asking about. IMO, so would be some EGL graded G-H/VS2 pieces (IMO, no worse than GIA"s H-I/SI1). With the proportions known from the cert, it may be that one of these turns out eye clean while no SI1 ideals does among the choices avialable at the moment.

Hope some of this helps

Carnell,

Well, I can only hope you''re the reason the one I mentioned above is now long gone. Next bet I''d say is JennyAnn''s pick above, but there is this one, too, Valeria/Anna''s comments are always helpful...and...still not wanting to be an enabler, I hope you might read the post at the link below my name.
