Hello! :) I have quietly read the forums for a few weeks, and i just booked the vacation i want to pop the big question on... and my fiance has been semi involved.. I had a rough budget of 15k, which sort of stretched into 16 to 17.

Is the diamond i sort of thought had the most band for the buck.. per bluenile it is eye clean.. but i could really use some expert opinion thoughts.. the setting that my future wifey likes is..

I am very nervous about purchasing the diamond and the setting from two different locations.. I am in that 1.7 carrot range and I must have an excellent cut.

I am 29, clueless about diamonds.. I hope to only have to purchase one diamond in my life.. and shopping in stores has been worse then buying a mattress! The anxiety of all this is driving me nuts. Please help!
 
What exactly is the budget for the stone?

Hum...that setting. If I was her I would put the stone in a setting with a single row of stones then buy seperate rings to
wear on either side of it.

Something like this...that way she can get the look she is after but its more versatile if later on she wants to wear it with
some different bands.
