Hi Experts,

I love this diamond and it is a VVS2, stunning!! Please can someone show me the inclusions? I cannot see it anywhere!

Thank you for your help.

Howdy,

So I'm by no means an expert, but I can tell you a few things:

VVS2 clarity is a very high clarity, and without a grading report it would be pretty difficult for anyone to spot the grade setting inclusions with just a 2d face-up shot. Personally, I can't see anything, but nor would I expect to with that clarity grade. Sometimes the inclusions in the VVS class can be tough to spot even with the stone in hand under magnification.

Another question: Who (GIA? AGS? Other?) issued the clarity grade, and is there a cut grade also issued?

Thank you - AGS (0) Ideal. Clarity AGS (2).

So really if we cannot see it I cannot go wrong with this.

No, you definitely won't see the inclusions with the naked eye in a vvs2 stone. But, is there a reason why you picked VVS clarity? You can certainly get a stone with lower clarity that you won't be able to see inclusions in with the naked eye. If you don't need the super high clarity, you could likely get a larger stone or a higher color stone for a similar price.

Yes - I have always went for the best of the 4C's I could afford. Cut, Clarity, Colour, Carat in that order. Less is more (not sure about this in diamonds though.)

Glad you know what you want. Just to parrot what I've read on here, a VS1 and almost all VS2 grades are eye clean (as long as the cert is AGS/GIA) and without significant inclusion (and pretty significantly cheaper)- if you want to, take a look at them as well as their inclusion charts and see what you think. A lot of the PS'ers have the "don't pay for what you can't see" kind of attitude- but others like stones to be "mind clean" and go for the super high clarities too. Either way, that diamond is beautiful- can't go wrong. Best of luck!

Ok good, just wanted to make sure you knew what you wanted and were aware that you'll be paying for something you can't see (higher clarity) and giving up something you can see (size or color).
