I''m looking to buy an engagement ring and am primarily looking at the two stones below from GOG and WF. Seems like the one from GOG is a better value but I''m hesitant due to the strong blue fluorescence. I was told my Jon (who has been very helpful so far) at GOG that he personally inspected the diamond and that there is no visible impact of fluorescence, which is counter to what I''ve read so far that strong fluoresence ends to turning the stone dull or milky in certain instances. Can somebody provide some clarity or share any experience they''ve had with strong fluoresence. I suspect that is the primary difference in pricing between these two stones aside from the branded ACA cut at WF. Any thoughts on which stone is the better value or better in general? Thanks!

Also contemplating whether to get a higher carat size for lesser color and clarity than the stone above at WF? Think the upgrade is worth the extra cash?

Fluoresence is a problem only when it makes the stone appear to be milky or oily. If Jon says it''s great, it''s going to be awesome. I bought and asscher from Jon that had strong blue fluoresence, and it''s clear as day... I''d venture to say that since I have been a member here, I have yet to see a stone with a fluorescent problem. I think the vendors here do a great job in weeding out the ones that would pose a problem.

Good luck in your search, HTH.

Kaleigh was correct in her answer - only very rarely will fluor turn negative in appearance in a stone - and then it will usualy only be in Very Strong Blue - ditto, if Jon says its fine than it will be.
I have been dealing with Jon for a number of months now finding a couple stones, and I know he is always honest in his responses.

Considering the quite large price difference between the first two you have listed, I would be inclined to say the GOG stone - also it should be a Honey, as Jon would say
