NEED HELP! Ideal scopes....

I need help please on these princess cut ideal scopes!! They seem more pink than red to me but maybe I''m wrong. And the black spots seem a little better dispersed in #2...but again, I am no expert.

The idealscope just shows light leakage:
white = leakage
red = reflected light
black = contrast/scintillation

The pink versus red is just the lighting and camera setup. No worries there.

For princess cut stones, this doesn't tell me a whole lot. Based on the pattern and IS, I prefer stone 1 but really need an ASET. Please ask for ASET pictures.

Thanks Chrono! JA does not have ASET! GOG and WF do but the setting I like is from JA. Would GOG or WF send the diamond directly to JA to have it set or would they send it to me and then I have to send to JA?

You can buy from GOG and WF and have either one set your JA setting. This means GOG or WF will take the risk of setting the stone. Or alternatively, you can have GOG or WF send the stone to JA to set but make sure your insurance covers the setting process.

Since JA can''t offer me an ASET - should that be a deal killer? GOG seems to be able to offer every sort of analysis....but people must buy diamonds from other vendors and be happy with their purchase, right???

My advice is go with what gives you more peace of mind and what you are comfortable with.

For rounds, I would not mind JA as an Idealscope is sufficient. I would not buy a fancy without an ASET but that's up to you. If you really want to stick with JA, why not ask them to look for AGS0 princess cut stones, so you would not need an ASET?
