Hi,
Last month, I jus proposed to my now-fiancee with a 1ct, L, VS2 Cushion (more on the rectangular side). She is happy with her ring and diamond just that she find it not enough finger coverage.
Initiatly I wanted to get her a 3ct Emerald after marriage for an upgrade, but she mention that things won't be the same and that she do not want to 'not wear the cushion I proposed to her'. She wanted to wear the cushion and yet increase finger coverage.
She only wear rings on her left hand ring finger, so if were to ask her to wear the 3ct Emerald on her left ring finger and the original cushion e-ring on her right ring finger is outta the question as she feels uncomfy with so many rings on so many fingers. She just want 2 rings, 1 wedding band + 1 ering on her left ring finger.
The current e-ring is already in a halo setting and hence I can't think of further ways to increase the finger coverage. She do not like 3-stone setting. She prefer something that looks like just one big diamond.
Before buying the current 1ct L, VS2 Cushion, She wanted a 2+ct Cushion but i told her it will look too big on her, hence I kinda force her into accepting the 1ct range. My bad.
Hence, now I wanted to do my best for her and wanted to do the way she wants.
She wanted another two 1ct diamond of different shapes but almost same measurement (a radiant and an emerald).
But I do not know if it is feasible.
Her design now was that to use a invisible setting and combine the current cushion, going to buy radiant and emerald together in horizontal manner and a halo setting surround it. In this case, she can solve the issue of finger coverage, at the same time having her love of different shapes: emerald, radiant & cushion on her e-ring.
Also she think is unique and no one else will have it.
In this case, the ring will looks like a one big diamond from afar.
Do you all think is feasible? Any combine setting pictures to show?
I recall a setting where 6 princess is combine in invisible setting to look like a huge diamond.
This is her current cushion set in vertical manner in a halo.
