Hi!

My best friend will be getting engaged in a few months, most likely, and I am trying to help her find a stock setting that she loves. Her fiance just finished up law school and they are using a family stone. She just wants a thin solitaire setting and I am urging her to get something stock and not deal with custom which she is on board with. I showed her the Gabriel Ny site and she liked this:

However, she doesn't like the curlicues on the side and would just like something plainer. Does anyone know of other stock solitaire setting that have a shank of 2mm or less??

Thanks for the help!!!

My Henri Daussi solitaire is a hair under 2mm for the shank.

just for comparisons that rose gold band is 1mm wide.

oh wow that is perfect and great price! I will send that one to them. I see it on since1910 but do you know of any other vendors? Also, do you mind sharing the size of your center for reference?

Here are some thin shank solitaires. I'm pretty sure all the shanks are under 2mm and that last one is 1.3mm. I hope this helps and please come back with pictures!

You could also check out James Allen, they have some beautiful solitaires

Gabriel & co will customize - have her work with one of the PS approved vendors that carry G&CO like GOG or IDJ.

My center is a 1.51 and my ring size is a 7.

My ring was from IDJ so I would ask them if they can get the setting for you as well. The price is great.

thanks, Allieluv! I told her about IDJ and we may take a trip there as we are in NYC. She doesn't want to go shopping with her boyfriend (which I understand).

You could also check out American Set on Ebay (these would be for a smaller budget, but they are nice, I own one myself). They have some very plain thin shank solitaires, and you can customize them to the size of stone and etc that you need.

This one is one of my favorites:

Just a plain, thin (<2 mm) shank and a thin wedding band to match. One of my fave looks for a solitaire wedding set.
