Hi Everyone,

First of all, thank you for taking your precious time to read this post.

I am looking for a 0.6 - 0.7 Round cut diamond, which will be set in a 3.5 size ring with North-East-South-West setting that is similar to this:
http://www.birks.com/en/featured/Engagement/Solitaire-Engagement-Rings/g64-712/895286

I do not have a high requirement for this small (0.6 - 0.7) diamond, I will be satisfy as long as the diamond is eye-clean, and the warm color is not noticeable.

I am thinking of getting the following GIA certified diamond:
Shape: Round Brilliant
Carat weight: 0.69
Cut: Ideal,
Colour: J
Clarity: VS2
Depth %: 61.4%, Table %: 55%, Crown angle: 34, Pavilion angle: 40.8, Culet: None
Polish: Excellent, Symmetry: Excellent
Girdle: Thin to Medium, Faceted
Fluorescence: Medium
Measurements: 5.70 x 5.72 x 3.50 mm

Based on your expertise, do you think if this is a good choice? Also would you think if the warm "J color " will be very noticeable for a 0.69 carat diamond?

Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.

Regards,
Cella

numbers look great! And I wouldn't worry too much about the warmness with the fluorescence. Just make sure your vendor has a decent return policy if you do not like it.

what is the price tag on the stone here. I agree the numbers look good, and everything seems in order, but how much for this stone if we may ask?

Thank you so much for all of your replies,

Would it be a good price it I can get it for less than $2000?

I am just worry that the diamond will look yellow after it is been set into a white gold setting, I've never saw a J diamond but the following video makes me worry:

A video for 1CT , SI1 Clarity , J Color:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ewWTWERbbU

Is it normal that the "1CT J" shows a faint warmth like this? Would a typical 0.69 stone look less warmth than the diamond in the video? What is the "safe range" of color for a 0.6 - 0.7 diamond?

If the following two diamonds cost $400 more, would one of this be a good alternative?

look at aset and Ideal Scope images, both of those look like nice stones on paper by stats alone.

Thank you all for your inputs to my post
