Hello.

Im new to the community but there is alot of helpful info here.

I am looking for a round diamond under 13500 in the 1.69 to 1.80 range. Im looking at si1/si2, G color and above. I need one that is eye clean guaranteed as I have a picky lady to impress. I saw this one white flashes site but with no pictures

Others that I noticed where:

I also saw this on good old gold:

What do you guys think. Am I looking at the right stones? Am I shooting to big? Let me know the deal! Thanks!

Thank you again

Frank

what exactly do you mean by picky?

The first stone (the ACA) is a very nice stone that any lady would love to have. The cut is great, but there are no pictures. If she is really picky, you will want to have a look at the stone to make sure the SI2 is not a problem.

There is not enough info on the other WF stones to make an opinion. I personally wouldn''t go for the VG cut.

The GOG stone is a GIA triple EX and would likely be an AGS000 according to HCA. It is an SI2 also but I personally would not have a problem with that. But you need to know exactly how picky your lady is. In the real world of wearing the ring you are not likely to notice these inclusions, but they will always be in your mind perhaps not in your eye, so which is more important to you? Mind clean or eye clean? To me this stone would be eye clean, to some it may not.

I dont know if the GOG is going to be eyeclean or not. But I do think that a black crystal that size is giong to be extremelly visible when viewed from other angles. If your ff is really picky, then I say aim for VS2 with white or clear inclusions or be very selective and search for a very very nice SI1 with inclusions high up an off to the side perhaps. Many people wouldnt care about inclusions being visible form the side view, but if she is picky she may very well, and many I know would hate to see any black inclusions from the side just as much as from the top. So, I think if her pickiness causes for a slightly smaller stone to make sure that it is totally eyeclean, then you should do that for her as it may well make her happier than slightly larger but visibly included from profile views. Alot of people here will disagree with me though.

Hello.

Thank you for your opinions. She would not take a loop to it or anything. She would just want it to be eye clean. My mind would be fine as long as she could not tell there were inclusions.

So you would say its between the in house diamond at white flash and the GOG stone? Would looking for a smaller si1 stone really give me much of a difference as far as "eye clean".

Thanks

Frank

well like I said, I would put money that she would be able to see the GOG inclusion reflected several times from the side. but you could always ask.

And there is no way to tell from the cert, but I would probably put money that with that many crystals under the table of the WF select, at an SI2 grade, they will probably be fairly visible from the side as well, though again, its certainly worht it to ask as it may consist of numerous lighter colored inclusions that might not be visible. it probably depends on exactly what set the grade, the color, and the exact size which can be hard to determine from a plot inclusion chart.

Every diamond needs to be looked at individually to determine if eyeclean. Looking at plots and pics simply can''t tell you. Some can look horrible in pics but be totally eyeclean, and vice versa.

Tell whoever is looking at the stones for you that your definition of eyecean is that you don''t want to see anything from any angle from any distance.

The first WF stone must be a new one and they don''t have all the info up yet. Give them a call and ask about the eye-cleaness. I have found them to be much pickier than I am with regard to eye-cleaness. i.e. when they said they coud see inclusions in my SI2 I got from them at 10 inches, there was NO way I ever saw anything.

Thanks again.

I will do that. Im going to talk with them on monday since they are closed on the weekend.

IF anyone has any other stones that they see that could be potentials for me please let me know.

Frank
