Need help finding a 1.1 - 1.3ct!

Hello everyone,

The time has come to propose to my girlfriend/high school sweetheart of 7.5 years! I've already bought the setting, which she fell in love with, and it turns out that the largest size carat that will fit is 1.29ct. Ideally I'd like to max out the carat size, but anything from 1.15 - 1.30 will work for me. Our price range is from $6,500 - $8,000, this is somewhat flexible. Round diamonds only. I really need help finding a good diamond. I know Cut is first and foremost, but when it comes down to grading reports I get lost in the information. Congratulations on your upcoming engagement! Unfortunately diamond prices are high right now and you probably won't be able to get into the upper end of your size range. It is really always better to buy the stone first and then the setting to fit the stone, but it is possible to do it this way. It just really narrows your choice of stone.

I almost hate to post this because lurkers often grab good stones, but I am not finding much at all in your size and price range. But this is a nice one, great cut, and the fluorescence is seen as a positive in an I color. If you are interested in this stone, I would put it on hold online just so it doesn't get taken while you think about it.

request ISs if you're interested (JA will provide three for free), and confirm they're clean to your specifications (clean from 6"? 12"? from the sides?) - vendors have different in-house definitions of the term that may or may not match your requirements

Could you describe the setting? Or post a picture? Are there side diamonds? Is it a halo? Does the color of the center stone have to complement other stones?
