Hello Pricescopers. I've been lurking and reading up this past week and this site and forum has been immensely helpful. I need assistance evaluating 2 stones with the stats below. They are the same carat weight but Stone #2 has larger measurements. Is Stone #2 too shallow? Is Stone #1 a bit steep/deep? Will the symmetry grade of "very good" and the comment of "additional clouds not shown" impact the performance of Stone #2?

The stones are with Blue Nile and I cannot get ASET and idealscope images. Stone #2 is about $200 more than Stone #1. Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

I am tempted to go #2 but the the larger lower half will result in skinny arrow shaft, some like it some don''t, so depends on you.

VG symm is usually not noticeable to the casual observer, meaning non-specialist.

Hi bluebruin

The longer LFG's at 85% aren't that noticeable in reality compared to shorter ones ( I have a diamond with 85% LFG) so from the info we have I would go for the second one but both have potential.

The untrained eye will not notice any difference between good and above for polish and symmetry generally and the comment clouds not shown is nothing to worry about.

Stone-cold11 and Lorelei: Thank you for such quick responses. The 85% is a typo. The lower half for stone #2 is 80%. My bad for not rechecking before posting - I have a copy of the GIA report right in front of me. It seems like you both prefer #2 even with the 85% lower half, so it is an even safer bet at 80%.

Either or, 85 or 80% LGF is fine.
