Both score a .7 on the Cut Advisor here. I have read a little bit about people preferring scores in the range of 1 - 2 instead. Can anyone shed any light on how a <1 and 1<x<2 differ?

Diamonds that score under 1 can look dark up close in a ring.

I dont like the angles at all on the first one for a ring.
It wouldnt likely make ags0 under the new system.

Second one is better.
Not my favorite angle combo but depending on what is in the average could be ok.

fwiw white in the right place can provide better contrast and to some a better looking diamond.
All red IS isnt always better.

I am interested in what you mean by that angle combination?

These are considered James Allen Signatures - so I guess that what their interpretation of the "best" proportioned diamonds are...

What range of angle combinations are your favorite?
