... will the extra money spent on the E triple excellent be worth it?

To some people, Yes.
To others, No.

If you take comfort from siding with the majority here on PS, they'd answer, No.
Size is a HUGE priority to most people, and for the price of an E you could buy a MUCH larger diamond.

On the other hand, there are some people who feel an E is not pure enough for the love they have for their sweetheart, and they's only consider buying a D.

Only you can decide.

Like Kenny said- its all about your priorities. :) when you say they both score well on the HCA- what ate the scores? If they are both close to 2 or under I may save the money and go with the VG.

The F scored 1.5 on the HCA 62.8% depth, 57% table, 35.5° crown angle, 40.6° pavilion angle, The E scored 1.4 60.7% depth, 58% table, 34.5° crown angle, 40.8° pavilion angle

Personally I couldn't tell the colo difference on those two diamonds. Plus no one will ever ask "what color is that" vs. people will notice and ask what size it is. I would buy which ever one is larger :Up_to_something: but that is just my .02 cents.

I would not buy that F colored stone you posted because it is measuring too small for me to pay the 1 carat premium.

I agree with farmergal.

This is a good example of why people need to look at the numbers before they even enter them into the HCA. The F stone is too deep making the stone face up smaller than a 1 carat stone should. Why pay for a carat when the stone won't look like it? There is usually a reason that excellent cut stones are preferable, and this one is very clear cut. I wouldn't even consider the F stone. I'd buy a .90 instead.

But the E stone looks great on paper. I don't like buying virtual stones without pictures, but the numbers do look good.
