I''ve narrowed down my setting choice to 2 WhiteFlash settings. Center diamond is princess cut 1.06 carat, setting will be 18K yellow gold with platinum prongs. I like both, the x-prong a bit more (love the Tiffany Lucida ring!) but the W-prong seems like a great twist on a classic solitare. Help!
Thanks!

X-prong (but mine is with a princess center and yellow gold setting)

I sort of prefer the looks and delicacy of the "W" prong style. The one in the color image. No particular physical reason, but a subjective choice based on looks and personal preferences. Both would do the job pretty much the same.

i vote w-prong. i have the 3stone version and love it. the prongs are just beautiful.

With a Princess, I''d personally go with the X-Prong. Nice.

I vote w-prong too...

I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I like the X prong because I love the look of Tiffany's Lucida for a square stone.

Edited to add: Belle when do we get to see more pics of your lovely three stone ring???

Thanks everyone! I have to decide by tomorrow and I''m still divided but leaning towards X-prong because I love love love the Lucida but the W-prong just keeps catching my eye!

Thanks again for the replies!

I''d go with the W-prong. I think it''s much more unique and still really compliments the shape of a square stone.

I like the W prong myself, but you seem to be leaning towards the X prong. Can''t go wrong with either. Good luck deciding.

Belle- I''d love to see a picture of your W-prong 3 stone

Well, one reason I''m leaning towards the x-prong is because I think I''ll be getting a princess channel eternity band from Facets later this year and I think the x-prong goes better with that. Unless I change my mind (again

) and go with an ACA RB eternity band, then the W-prong makes more sense.

But, I have to decide by tomorrow so we''ll see!

Thanks again

I think they are both beautiful, but my vote is for the W-prong.

wprong!! i tried one on when we visited last time and it was fabulous! i really loved it as an alternative to the other solitaires that are out there...it''s unique and very fluid.

X for princess (because I like the Lucida look)

W for rounds

A turn of events (but in a good way):

Long story short- DH didn''t propose exactly in a memorable or romantic way (After a Halloween party he said "SO you really want to do this huh? Will you marry me?" lol). And last night talking to him about the settings he said that HE wanted to pick it out, maybe even change the center stone, and repropose! So I e-mailed him the photos and some center stone suggestions

(although I really don''t think he''ll go that far and I kind of hope he doesn''t as I love my princess cut diamond) but he''ll ultimately choose it!

It''s very sweet but I''m nervous because 1) I''m a control freak with my purchases

2) What if I don''t like it (see, control freak thing kicking in...) and 3) I have no idea WHEN he''s planning on doing this! He has the GIA certificate, the ring and my e-mail so we''ll see!

Of course I''ll let everyone know what the end result is!!

I much prefer the W-prong.
