so next year it''s my 50th birthday (let''s move quickly past that part of the story)
and for a gift from my husband, i''m considering requesting an asscher diamond band to be made by Leon M.
the stones i''d be looking at are about .30ct each (i''m looking for stones around 3.8-4mm sq), probably 6 to the band. this will most likely be the last diamond ring we ever buy, so i''d like to get as high a grade of stone possible. my question is - where would i purchase these stones? given that leon, while being a genius jeweler, is not a hugely collaborative kind of guy, i''d prefer to present him with the stones i wish to use, rather than breathe down his neck as he sources these stones himself - given that i''m going to want something very specific and lovely.
so first question - any thoughts on where i could source stones of this kind?
secondly - i''ve never bought individual asschers before, so i have no idea (well, not much anyway) on what i''m looking for in the first place. so all help on getting a set of 6 matching would be great.
thank you!
