Need Help and Advice for Diamond and Engagement ring please!

Hi All,

I am new to the forum, and i have learnt alot from here. I am preparing to get a ring for my proposal. So, using my limited knowledge, i was searching online for some diamonds that i felt would be good. But it seems i'm stuck. I would really appreciate if anyone could give me some advise on which diamond should i invest on. I have narrowed down my search to three diamonds. Would appreciate any comments and advise:

1) From WhiteFlash.com. 0.556 E VS2. - $2831

2) From Brian Gavin. 0.555 E VS1. - $3289

I was considering the 0.556 from WhiteFlash, but the AGSL Light Performance Map shows a light green in the middle. And i was concerned that its performance might not be good enough compared to the other diamonds. Can anyone please advise.

The WF stone would be my choice. All 3 of these stones would be beautiful but to me there is no reason to pay for a VS1 over
a VS2 when you cant see it.

Welcome! One thing you do not have to worry about are ACA diamonds! They all have ideal light performance! So you were worrying for nothing! If you do go with that stone, be sure you ask for the pricescope/wire discount! Brian Gavin's stones are great, too, so it depends on whether you want to pay extra for the VS1.

Are you set on E color? Because you probably could get a little more size if you'd go to F or G color. Here is one I might choose over the E VS2:

Thanks all for your reply. How about the light green "reflected light and of lower quality" in the middle of the ASET light map? Should i be concerned"? Kindly advise.

nope, this is no cause for concern...there is an article somewhere explaining why (I used to have it bookmarked but I don't anymore). Anyway, no worries with green v. red in the very middle.
