My niece is looking for a curved band to go with her Ering. I found the ring at Pearlman's in the closeout section so I don't think they carry Eli anymore. She wants the band to be plat with no diamonds. I'm thinking the band needs to be as wide as one of the split shanks. Is it easy to find one "off the rack" that fits or will she have to go custom? John Pearlman sent the photos before the purchase. The eternity looks great but she has very short fingers. I've told her that she will not be able to wear the wedding band alone and there will be a possibility that she will be constantly readjusting it because of spinning.

Ooh, I like the JbEG ring (I like all their stuff, so no big surprise there) and I think it would look lovely with the engagement ring.

Thank you! I completely forgot about that one.

Hi NonieMarie! :wavey:

Your daughter's ring is very pretty! Is it a "must" that her band sit flush? I had the same dilemma when searching for a wedding ring, since my ering has a curve. I ended up going with a straight band. Why? Two reasons: 1) A curved band will sit flush if pressed against the ering, but IRL and everyday activities it's still going to spin and be out of line a lot. Then you have a curved band that's "off the tracks" and looks funny. Well, unless they're sautered together (*NOOOOOOOO!!!*) and... 2) I can still wear it by itself if I want to.

FWIW, I have a 1/2 eternity, but I really wish I'd just gotten a full eternity band. My ring spins and it drives me insane constantly readjusting it! (And, no, it's not just too big... it spins in the heat and on "fat days") UGH!! :angryfire:

Just something to think about...

EDIT: Oops!! I just noticed that she wants a plain band.

msop04, I have been trying to lead her against the curved band for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Because money is tight, I'm trying to get her to think of an option of a nice thin plat band (there is a Tiffany on the bistro) that she could have forever and wear on it's own. Then when the wedding is behind them, a channel set band curved or not, could be made or bought. The dilemma is that some young people (30yrs old) have difficulty with the voice of experience.

I hope she takes your advice... otherwise, I'm afraid she'll regret it and end up getting a straight band (only after spending money on a curved band that cannot be worn alone). Sigh... Kids these days. (I'm 34)
