I need the experienced opinions of everyone here. I have narrowed down my search to these 3 round GIA certified diamonds and am unsure which is the best. Been looking for a Strong Blue for the longest time and am hoping that one of them suits the bill.

Diamond1:
0.83 carat, H color, VS2 Clarity, Excellent Polish, Excellent Symmetry
Depth % 61.1
Table % 56
Crown Angle 33.5
Pavilion Angle 41.0

Diamond2:
0.82 carat, H color, VS1 Clarity, Excellent Polish, Excellent Symmetry
Depth % 62.3
Table % 56
Crown Angle 35.0
Pavilion Angle 40.8

Diamond3:
0.82 carat, I color, VS2 Clarity, Very GoodPolish, Excellent Symmetry
Depth % 60
Table % 60
Crown Angle 33.5
Pavilion Angle 41.0

Please let me know which one of the 3, and why. I have little experience in evaluating. If it makes any difference, I am looking for them on Bluenile.

Do you have any photos of the stones?

Please add diameter, too.

Sorry, i do not have photos of the diamonds.

I ran the HCA online tool on them and this is what I got.

Total Visual Performance 1.0 - Excellent within TIC range
Measurements 6.12 x 6.09 x 3.73 mm

Diamond 2

Fire Excellent
Scintillation Excellent
Spread Very Good
Total Visual Performance 1.6 - Excellent within TIC range

Diamond 3
Light Return Excellent

May I know what is the difference between BIC, TIC and FIC range?

EDIT: Added measurements

TIC means Tolkowsky ideal cut, most ideal cuts today are cut to this standard, the stone will exhibit a balance of both white and colored light return.

FIC means firey ideal cut, the stone will show more colored light than white light return

BIC means brilliant ideal cut, the stone will have more white light return than colored light return

My personal preference would be for #2. I like a high crown and would be willing to give up a small amount of diameter for it. My second choice would be #1. I don't like 60/60 types so I'd dismiss #3. But that's all just personal preference. :))

edit: You could ask another vendor to call these stones in for you and provide idealscope images. Many vendors can do this and they will often beat BN list price. Just a thought you might want to consider.

Thank you for the feedback. That's a good idea about asking other vendors for the same stones. Do you by any chance, know of any vendors with favourable shipping terms to Canada? Good thing about BN is that they have free shipping to Canada (of course, it doesn't cover customs/duties). I doubt BN is willing to provide idealscope images...

Hi, I have checked with James Allen and they are not able to bring in any one of those listed. :( I'm still trying to find other vendors that are willing to do that.

I know that ID Jewelry has brought in BN stones for other people. If the stones that you are considering are signature ideal stones, then I believe that they are exclusive to BN and another vendor won't be able to bring them in for you. You could also consider purchasing the stone and an idealscope and viewing the stone in person. They are available for $25 here...http://www.ideal-scope.com/cart_order.asp?Ref=pricescope

What does everyone think of this? I have an idealscope of a candidate.

Those are my preferences in order as well.
