Need advise on this 2.04 carat

Hi so I got the GIA certification on this 2.04 carat round diamond. And the measurements are as follows;
Measurement; 7.94 – 8.04 x 5.13
Carat; 2.04
Color : G
Table; 61%
Depth: 64.1%
Crown angle; 37.0
Pavilion angle; 42.6

So I used the Holloway cut advisor and it only gave it a fair but when I looked it in person it looks really nice and it sparkles. Can someone with a PC please get me the diamcalc because I have a Mac. I really like this diamond because 1 it's bigger than a 2 carat and it's in my budget around 9k and 2 all the inclusion is on the side which can be hidden with the prong. What do you guys think?

It may weigh over 2ct but it does not equal to a well cut 2ct in diameter... this is a poorly cut stone.. plus something does not jive ...9K for a 2ct G colored stone?... what is the clarity grade?

A 7.99 average girdle diameter spreads about the same as a well-cut 1.84ct diamond. Of far more concern are the proportions: While any diamond will sparkle and look nice under bright lights, at max it will have the size-appearance of a well-cut 1.84ct. What may be more important to you is that under normal or low lighting the edges will go completely dark. Do know that, if sent to the AGSL for grading, it would earn AGS10 in light performance. Based on the measurements, there may be a beautiful 1.70ct diamond hiding inside of it (following a performance-focused recut), but in this iteration this diamond will be an extremely low performer.

This ASET simulation is based on the data provided. Be aware that those numbers are only averages of many measurements, further rounded up or down on the GIA report. In contrast, this graphic assumes a perfect wire-frame (impossible in nature), so it's a "best-case" scenario. The actual level of 3D cut-precision is unaccounted-for.

Thank you sir John for posting this. I was so used to looking at ASET images from CBI diamonds, that I didn't realize that they could also look like this one. I know what John is talking about when he talks of performance in all lighting conditions, my CBI does that. I have pictures of it throwing off dispersion in a darkened theater on a cruise ship.

To OP, good luck with your search. Most of us on PS do feel that cut is very important. Perhaps you can compromise on size a little to get a better cut diamond.
