Hi, I''m getting in the market for a ring for my girlfriend and was wondering if the price seems right for this (I''m VERY new at all of this but this site has been very helpful)

Type: Round
Carat weight: 0.75
Cut: Ideal
Color: F
Clarity: SI1
Depth: 61.5%
Table: 57%
Symmetry: VG
Polish: VG
Girdle: Medium to slightly thick, faceted
Cutlet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 5.80 x 5.84 x 3.58 mm

Price: $2,764

Also, I was thinking about putting this in a halo bezel by whiteflash ( http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/Halo-Bezel-Ring-By-WF_940.htm ) but on the WF site it says the ring must be purchased with a center diamond. I live in Houston though, so if I order a diamond on-line and go into the store to purchase the ring will they insert it for me?

Thanks for the help

I''m no expert either but a quick search on icestore.com tells me that you have a good deal. A couple of similar stones weighing 0.82 carat sell for $3400 on that site. I would say that if you have inspected the stone and are happy with it, it''s a good price.

If it comes with a proper cert, even better.

Sounds like a great stone and have to say I adore that setting!!!

Are you saying you are buying the diamond from WhiteFlash online? If you''re not, then I assume that means that they won''t sell you that setting at that price. You probably should call and ask them if they''d set your stone in their setting and how much that would be. But it would be a lot easier if you could buy the diamond there, too.

Ah ok, I didn''t know the band''s price was only if I get a stone. I think I''ll just stop by there soon and talk to a rep. Thanks for the help

I dunno, Gigem. If you look at the link below my signature, I''d say you''re one of those "plain lucky" guys that actually live near one of the vendors of choice who post on this board. Obviously, you''re already aware of this enough to consider their setting. Regarding the diamond, though, if all you know about the one you''re already thinking about is what you''ve reported....I''d be inclined to do no less than include one like this as well along with the named one, among the ones you''re thinking about, and seriously consider getting the whole enchilada from WF. (The one I show actually has some cut based data, where the one you mention has no preferred proportion analysis, with polish and symmetry probably only fine, and less than "ideal).

Make WF your neighborhood jeweler. Just my 2 cents.

Best wishes going forward.
