Hi, I am new in this forum. which I have learned a lot from all of you. =)

I am looking for a upgrade of my ring. Here is a diamond which i find :

Round billiant, 3.09ct , F, SI2, cut: very good, Measurements :9.38 - 9.54 x 5.70 mm ,

Depth 60.3 %
Table 57 %
Crown Angle 32.0°
Crown Height 13.5%
Pavilion Angle 41.2°
Pavilion Depth 43.0%
Star Length 50%
Lower Half 85%
Girdle Very Thin to Thick, 3.5%
Culet None
Polish Good
Symmetry Good
Fluorescence Strong Blue
GIA graded

The seller offer very good price.
I am just worry about the strong blue fluorescence and the very thin girdle. Will set on classic six prong ring.

Any advice on this diamond?

I forgot to mention the price $33k for cash sale. It is a good deal?

We can't answer about the fluor - you have to see it in direct sunlight to see if there are any ill effects from it (a small percentage of stones will look hazy or oily in sunlight). That said, I have a stone w/ SBF and it is the coolest thing ever! :)

It scores well on the HCA (1.7) which is good. I'd have the jeweler look at the girdle - a 6 prong (or more... maybe even a bezel...) will help protect it.

Is it eye clean to your satisfaction?

If i was spending $33K on a stone the stone better be triple XXX. Is this one those Asian cash deal?.. :Up_to_something:

Hi

I think you can talk to the store to examine the stone for you, Strong Blue Fluo can make the stone look cloudy, If the
stone is not cloudy and eye clean than sounds good to me.
If you are buying the stone online without looking than maybe you could ask for the Images, it will all help you take
right decision.

This is hardly anything to worry about because it doesn't happen very often.

But I also have to agree with DF....are you open to other options? I would at least consider VG for the symmetry, but not just Good...and that girdle makes me nervous. And (last thing) I don't like the dimensions.

Thank you for all the reply and suggestion. :))
I am going back to the store next few day to have a look at this diamond again (especially on different lightings and the girdle)
If the stone come out eye clean and not cloudy. It is a good deal ?

No, because this is not a well made stone.

Measurements :9.38 - 9.54 x 5.70 mm ...out of round... :knockout:

Girdle Very Thin to Thick, 3.5% ... :knockout:

I have to agree again. I really think you could do a LOT better.

This is a badly cut diamond. Don't get swayed by "tempting prices". For a general guideline, stick with 3Exs or 3 0's
