Need more information, such as the crown, pavilion angles, girdle thickness, star and lower girdle facet size.

Also Total depth% and table diameter% but I can already tell that the stone is cut deep because the outside diameter of a well cut round one carat diamond should be around 6.5 mm not 6.42 mm (average).

ya, forgot to add those. Just post the GIA report number, if you can''t find those numbers.

All that information should be on your cert. We can''t tell anything about the cut until you provide all that data here.

let's see...

Crown height: 15.5%
Crown angle: 35.5
pavilion angle: 40.8
pavilion depth: 43.0
girdle thickness: med - slightly thick (faceted) 4.0%
star length: 50%
Table size: 56%
Total depth: 62.8%
Lower girdle: 75%

Based on the quick response... You guys are awesome!! : )

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Total depth is a little on the high side, probably the reason it got a VG in cut by GIA. For that crown angle, the pav angle is probably too steep, might have leakage, an IS will confirm it has leakage or not.

In short, give it a miss, there is better ones out there, especially for that size.

The staff showed me the stone under an ideal scope and I thought it looked "fine" (lack of better vocab...:P) the diamond was hot pink with a symmetrical black star in teh middle and minimal paleness on teh sides. However, the it was slightly (very slight) whitish/pale in the center and the staff even pointed it out without me asking that it's prob. b/c the stone is cut slightly too deep... but nonetheless, overall the stone is "wonderful."

All good then. :)

Check it out away from the store lights if possible, look to see if there are any dark areas on the surface of the diamond, this is light leakage. If it performs well in plain daylight then thats the main thing, and you like it.
