Need advice on men''s ring that has diamonds/gemstones in them

Hi all
To those who incorporated a diamond or gemstone into a man''s wedding band ring.
Assuming a flash fit with the outer diameter of the wedding band, do you all feel that you were limited during your search to the dept of the diamond/gemstone that you were considering?

I feel like the deepest diamond or gemstone one is able to get cannot really exceed 3mm if there was to be flush fitment.

Please share your experiences.
