I just want to start out by thanking everyone out there for all the advice you all post on this board. It has been invaluable to me over the past few weeks as I have been searching for diamonds.

With that being said, I need to get a diamond soon and I am starting to run out of time.

I would appreciate any advice that anyone had to give on these few diamonds I have been considering.
I am waiting on the ideal scope for the diamonds and will post them when I get them.

#1
Shape: Round
Carat weight: 0.95
Cut: Ideal
Color: I
Clarity: VS1
Certificate: GIA
Depth: 61.2%
Table: 56.0%
Polish: Excellent

pavilion angle : 40.2
crown angle: 34.5

#2
Carat weight: 0.94
Cut: Ideal
Color: I
Clarity: VS2
Certificate: GIA
Depth: 62.4%
Table: 54.0%
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Girdle: Medium
Culet: None
Fluorescence: Faint
pavilion angle : 40.8
crown angle: 35

#3
Carat weight: 1.02
Cut: Ideal
Color: I
Clarity: SI1
Certificate: GIA
Depth: 61.3%
Table: 56.0%
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Excellent
Girdle: Thin to medium
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
pavilion angle : 40.8
crown angle: 34.5

The first two are about $3400 and the third is around $3800.

I am looking to stay at about 3800 or less. As I don''t know much about the angles and such, I would appreciate any advice on these 3 diamonds.

Thanks in advance for your help.

#3 has the best numbers. #2 could be good, an IS will confirm. If the pavillion angle is correct on #1 at 40.2, I would pass on it for a ring, though it could work well for a pendant. Make sure to ask the vendor if #3 is eye-clean to your standards.

Ditto, #3 is the best from the numbers assuming it is eye-clean.

Thanks for your help. I am also considering sacrificing size for clarity and color.

This is another diamond I am considering and is the same price range as #3 above.

#4
Shape: Round
Carat weight: 0.92
Cut: Ideal
Color: H
Clarity: VS2
Certificate: GIA
Depth: 62.5%
Table: 57.0%
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Excellent
Girdle: Medium to slightly thick
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
pavilion angle: 41.2
crown angle: 35.5

Thanks again for all your help. I would be lost without you all.

No to #4, pavilion angle is too steep in that stone.

#4 is what we actually call a steep deep, both crown and pavilion angles are not a good fit for each other, also well cut diamonds do not usually have 41.2 pavilions, I would pass on this one.

Number 3 is the best one to go for if eyeclean.

Here is the ideal scope for #3. What do you think??

that didn''t work let''s try it again...
