Hello,
i have been a lurker here for about a month now so im still new to this. I am looking for a round ideal cut diamond not smaller then .5 ct. For the ring setting i still dont know exactly what type i want, i just know it has to be gold. My budget is 1400-1800 maybe a little more if it makes a huge difference. Any suggestions? I was wondering what everyone thought of this diamond. Here are the specs.

Price: $1,466

Carat weight: 0.51
Cut: Ideal
Color: G
Clarity: VS2
Depth %: 61.4%
Table %: 56%
Symmetry: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Girdle: Medium to slightly thick
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 5.13 x 5.17 x 3.16 mm

The crown angle is 34% and the pavilion angle is 40.8. Thanks alot

Based on the specs you can''t do much better, price included.

If from a major lab, this is good, and it''s suggested to check with an idealscope that it proves out, but looking good.

It is GIA certified.

Is G/VS your sweet spot? I think you could safely drop the clarity to an SI and the color to H-I and get a bigger stone. The difference in looks would be really negligible.
Here''s another nice stone that might interest you http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/2287/ .
If G/VS2 is really what you''re looking for, you really can''t do much better price-wise.

No G/VS is not my sweet spot. Will there really not be that much of a difference to the naked eye between the two?
