Hi everyone -

I'm new to this forum and I've begun my engagement ring search. I apologize if this is the incorrect forum for this question...but here goes. I am very fond of the Forevermark Halo Round Diamond ring with the simple mounting/band combination. One of the jewelers in town has one, but i wasn't sure if it was overpriced. The exact ring can be found here: http://finksjewelers.com/forevermark-halo-round-diamond-engagement-ring/

When i talked to the jeweler the general details i for this ring were:

Center Stone Cut: Round Brilliant
Center Stone Carat weight: 0.71
Center Stone Color: F
Center Stone Clarity: VS1
Halo cut: rounds
Halo total carats: 0.17
Band: 18k White Gold

Retail: $7850

Does anyone have experience with this brand of diamonds? is this a reasonable price all things considered? any advice would be helpful as i'm just starting to get the basics of diamond pricing under my belt.

Thanks in advance!

Aaron

If you are price-sensitive, yes, it is overpriced compared to what you can get online. You are going to pay a price premium for the Forevermark brand.

That sounds very high!

Unless you buy an internally flawless diamond you already have forevermarks.

They are the inclusions.
They can be seen with a loupe and matched to the inclusion plots on your lab report.
