Local jeweler has been hunting down AGS000 with great ASET for me and came back with this http://www.agslab.com/pdf_sync_reports/104077096014-PLDQR.PDF

I am told that the stone is 100% eye clean, and will be seeing it tomorrow. Any problems with the inclusion types and locations? Could they affect the brilliance of the stone? The digital ASET looks pretty good (I will do an in person tomorrow to confirm), but am scared of the comments stating even more twinning wisps and surface graining are not shown.

The stone also scores a 2.2 TIC on the HCA and I was looking to be sub 1. He also has 2 additional stones for me to look at, but don't have their AGSL certs in front of me right now.

The second stone is here 1.267 ct G SI1 - believed to be eye clean (will see tomorrow) and has an HCA score of 1 BIC:

Any help is greatly appreciated on what to look for when viewing this stone. Thanks!

Honestly, I am not wild about the clarity on the first one and would wonder if light performance might be affected, and I don't really like the cut on the second one. I personally think a higher crown angle and smaller table is more attractive. I look for 34-35 crown angles and 54 up to 58 for the table. But the great thing is, you can see them in person and make better choices about which is more pleasing to you. I would say to be sure you compare prices with other ideal cuts from places like Good Old Gold and Whiteflash before making a final decision.

DS thank you - I have been lurking on this forum for the last few weeks and your posts have been very educating!

I also have been looking at GOG and WF and found the following:

GOG: 1.21ct G SI1 (eye clean)w/a 0.8 TIC HCA:

AGS Cert: http://w.mawebcenters.com/static/ecommerce/141/141877/media/catalog/product/a/g/ags_28_13.jpg

WF: 1.223ct G SI1 ACA (eye clean) w/a 1.5 TIC HCA:

AGS Cert: http://www.agslab.com/pdf_sync_reports/104077593002-PGRH.PDF

Between the GOG and WF, which would you recommend? They seem very similar on my end, and the only way I would choose the stones the local jeweler has is if they come close to GOG/WF (and are cheaper).

I actually explained to the jeweler ASET/light performance etc. and he was genuinely interested and said that chances are that quality of stone isn't isn't in the local area, but viewed it as a challenge to find something to meeting my standards. Even showed him the platinum light cert (which he didn't hear of before) and what an excellent one looked like. Needless to say, where-ever I buy the diamond, he is definitely setting it. Great guy!

Any idea what the price is on those two stones?

1.32 VS2 H @ Bluenile with very nice cut. HCA = 1.9

Sharweb, i have no idea yet what the price is. I know they are under $10k though. As for color, gf has a really good eye for it. I think the H is pushing it and I don't believe BN will provide the necessary images for me to make an informed purchase. Thank you for the help!
